Shimla Ridge and Mall road and Lakkar Bazaar
Shimla ridge is an open space of top of Shimla city and Mall road is just to the side of it. The road at both places is restricted and only special vehicles are allowed.
A ridge is a place to just sit, walk around and chill out with friends. You will notice a remarkable crowd of people from different states and countries here.
Mall road is just a few steps below the ridge and has several no of cafes and restaurants. Walking around here is an experience in itself.
Lakkar Bazaar is famous for its shops selling small wooden decorative articles that can be bought as a souvenir.

Kali Bari temple
Kali Bari temple is situated at a distance of approximately one kilometer from Ridge. The temple is dedicated to goddess Kali. The view from the temple is nice.
The viceregal lodge is situated at the observatory hill in Boileauganj, Shimla. It is at a distance of 4-5 kilometers from Shimla city center. The structure is magnificent and well maintained. The area around the building is covered with lush green lawns.
Sankat Mochan Temple
Sankat Mochan Temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman is among top destination tourist cover when they are at Shimla. It is at a distance of 7 kilometers from city center. You will be able to see entire Shimla city from here and the view is remarkable to most first-timers.
Tara Devi temple
The temple is dedicated to Mata Bhagwati. It is situated at a distance of 20 kilometers from city center. The temple is situated on the hilltop and has a great view of Shimla.
Jakhu temple is the top destination among the tourist. Jakhu temple is situated on Jakhu hilltop, the highest point in Shimla city. The temple here is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The temple is famous for it 108 feet tall statue of Lord Hanuman. Recently a ropeway has been opened near the ridge to Jakhu temple.
Kufri is situated at a distance of around 15 kilometers from Shimla. It is the most visited tourist spot in Shimla. There are multiple amusement parks there and places like Green Valley, Indira tourist park, and Himalayan nature park. During summer you can do trekking and horse riding and in winters you can do yak riding, tobogganing (sliding ) and skiing.
Naldehra is situated at a distance of 22 kilometers from Shimla. It is famous for its golf course.However, the downside is that tourists are not allowed inside the course and you got to see it from outside only. Here is video we took there
Narkanda is famous for its Hatu peak and Tani Jubaar lake. Hatu peak has an elevation of 3400 m above sea level. Hatu derives its name from Hatu Mata temple situated here. Tani Jubbar lake few kilometers away is among the three natural rainfed lakes in Shimla.
Shali peak famous for Shali goddess temple and for trekking is a place for adventurers. Shali peak is standalone and has a remarkable view and we really mean it. Shali peak trek can be completed in 3 to 4 hours easily by average hiker. To reach here you need to first reach Khatnol village from where trek starts. Here is a video
